Nugent Schneider — Chair & Founder
Our founder, M. Nugent Schneider, was Vice Chairman of the investment subsidiary of a large Canadian trust company from 1985 to 1988, at which time he was responsible for approximately four hundred million dollars of personal clients' assets. Prior to that time he was Resident Officer of M.K. Wong and Associates, a highly respected national investment counselling firm. He was responsible for establishing their office in Toronto to service and develop the Ontario clientele. His career in the investment industry began in the brokerage business in 1958 and has included professional trading, all aspects of retail and institutional marketing and portfolio management. Nugent has almost 50 years of investment experience and has held senior positions with several major brokerage and investment counselling firms for more than 35 years. |

Roger Glassco — President and CEO, Senior Portfolio Manager
Roger Glassco began his investment career in 1970 as an account executive with a large national brokerage firm in Vancouver, B.C. There, he became the company's top producer and rose to become the manager of its Manitoba operations. His 37-year career includes serving institutional clients in England and continental Europe from 1976 to 1980. In 1985, he became a founding officer of the investment counselling subsidiary of a large financial institution, responsible for individual clients, trusts, estates, benefit plans and small pension funds. In 1989, he joined Vestcap and is currently a Principal, a Senior Portfolio Manager, a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Investment Management Committee. |

Leo Frank — Chair of the Investment Committee & Senior Portfolio Manager
Leo Frank entered the investment business in 1962 with Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. He then joined North American Life in 1964 in the bond portfolio management department and in 1968 he became involved with stock research and trading. In 1981, he was named Director Pension Investment Services for North American Life. In 1982, he became Vice-President of Elliott and Page, the investment counselling subsidiary of North American Life, responsible for the management of Elliott and Page's largest equity portfolios, in addition to supervising the equity trading department. In 1992, he joined Vestcap and is a Principal, a Senior Portfolio Manager, Chairman of the Investment Management Committee and member of the Board of Directors. |

Lyle Stein — Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager
Lyle began his investment career in Washington, D.C. as a financial consultant to regulated utility companies in Canada and the U.S. In 1998 he became the Portfolio Strategist at Nesbitt Thomson, where he was twice voted as Canada’s Top Ranked Strategist. From there he went to Sceptre Investment Counsel where he managed institutional equities as well as the Sceptre Balanced Growth Fund which under his direction was twice awarded “Balanced Fund of the Year”. In 2002, Lyle founded Red Barn Capital Inc., an Investment Counselling firm focused on the needs of individual investors. In 2009, Red Barn Capital was acquired by Leon Frazer & Associates Inc., one of Canada’s oldest independent portfolio management firms, where Lyle became Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager. He has served on the Boards of numerous public and private companies, and brings over 35 years of analytical expertise to the firm. At Vestcap, Lyle is Managing Director, a Senior Portfolio Manager, and a member of the Investment Committee. |
